Sure there is.  You can call or email the school.  Personally, I'd like
to speak my mind to the heart of the problem.  The board took the worst
action by voting to not renew her contract.  I am going to write the
board president a complaint letter.  I did a little research, and here
is his info:

No, many school districts in Texas have "Independent" in their name.  It
has nothing to do with charter schools.  They're still subject to the
state education agency and state law.



This is an independent school district - does that mean it's a charter
school??? If so - there's probably no protection, even for a 28-year
honored teacher....
