Hi Laurel,

I did get approval from my director and went forth with creating a MySpace 
page.  I also went forth and found other museums to be our “virtual friends.”  
So far my staff likes the idea (although they were a little concerned when I 
presented the idea to them since the site does generate some bad press).  In 
any case, feel free to take a look.  Perhaps it will help with approval from your 
Marketing/PR person.

I have also posted this to the entire list in case there are other museums 
considering the idea.

Keep in mind, this is still in the early stages of development, since I have just 
recently received the approval.  I envision this work in progress to be a 
desirable site from my institution's younger consitituency, an entertaining and 
educational online forum for them.
