MONKEY KING: A Story from China
An exhibition that allows visitors to get into trouble with the mischievous,
yet brave and loyal, Monkey King in this epic Chinese adventure tale.
Discover the wonders of traditional and modern China as you join Monkey to
fly in the clouds, cause havoc in the Heavenly Palace and Battle the Bull
Demon!
 
Newly refurbished and enhanced, Monkey King: A Story from China exhibition
will begin its second tour beginning this summer. Monkey King invites
visitors on an imaginary journey into a traditional story, Journey to the
West, and its evolution into modern China. Monkey King helps children at
different developmental stages begin to understand Chinese culture through
Monkeyıs physical and moral journey. This 1,500 square foot exhibition is
one of seven exhibitions that comprise the Asian Exhibit Initiative, created
by the Childrenıs Museum of Manhattan, funded by the Freeman Foundation and
administered by the Association of Childrenıs Museums (ACM).
The refurbished version of Monkey King incorporates changes ‹ including new
and improved interactives ‹ in response to summative evaluations and venue
feedback. 

Available for rent: Summer or Fall 2010, and Summer 2011 through Fall 2012.
Rental fee is a REDUCED FEE of $21,000 for 3 months.
