MONKEY KING: A Story from China
An exhibition that allows visitors to get into trouble with the mischievous, yet brave and loyal, Monkey King in this epic Chinese adventure tale. Discover the wonders of traditional and modern China as you join Monkey to fly in the clouds, cause havoc in the Heavenly Palace and Battle the Bull Demon!

Newly refurbished and enhanced, Monkey King: A Story from China exhibition will begin its second tour beginning this summer. Monkey King invites visitors on an imaginary journey into a traditional story, Journey to the West, and its evolution into modern China. Monkey King helps children at different developmental stages begin to understand Chinese culture through Monkey’s physical and moral journey. This 1,500 square foot exhibition is one of seven exhibitions that comprise the Asian Exhibit Initiative, created by the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, funded by the Freeman Foundation and administered by the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM).
The refurbished version of Monkey King incorporates changes — including new and improved interactives — in response to summative evaluations and venue feedback.

Available for rent: Summer or Fall 2010, and Summer 2011 through Fall 2012.
Rental fee is a REDUCED FEE of $21,000 for 3 months.
