Hello Kathleen,

Most modern model rockets have a round cavity at the base for the rocket
motor. You'll probably NOT want to have the motors installed for the
exhibition, they're hard to see with the rocket standing up anyway. If you
remove the motors, perhaps you can find or make wooden dowels to fit into
the motor cavity, and attach those dowels upright to a sturdy base inside
the case, that should stabilize them nicely. That may not work for all of
them, but should do the trick for most. Hope that helped,

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] mounting model rockets

We have a number of model rockets. Some measuring @ 3' high. We want to
display them standing upright under a Plexiglas case . Any recommendations
of how to attach/ mount them to the base of the case so that they won't fall
over if the case is knocked?

Thank you
