It's not my museum and never was, and I intend no rebuke to the
able staff there and the fine work they do, but the Butler-McCook
Homestead in Hartford, CT, has the vaccination scabs from the
McCook children (or did until 3 years ago).  That has always
topped my list of examples of the cargo-cult mentality in US
history museums.
