Hi Michael,

We have our swords, knives and bayonets hung on one of our art racks and then have fireproof metal storage cabinets (that lock of course) for long arms and pistols. For the guns we made stands that fit within the cabinets out of ethafoam. Let me know if you need a more detailed description.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] firearms & sword storage

Hi all,

Has anyone attempted to create cheap, innovative permanent storage for their collection's swords, rifles, and guns? I'm looking to bring back those collections into our museum's permanent storage and am trying to find a way to store them in a both inexpensive and responsible manner.

Thanks!
