here is a web site which lets you download present and older versions of
the form and the matching instructions
_http://www.savewealth.com/taxforms/irs/forms/8283/_ (http://www.savew
ealth.com/taxforms/irs/forms/8283/)

the amount is $500 or more and this amount does not seem to have changed

found by a search using the terms
    IRS Form 8283 year 2002

Does anyone know if an 8283 would have been required for a tax deduction
for a painting valued at $4,500 in 2002? Some thought that at that time
they weren't required for deductions under $5,000.

I have been looking but thought it might be just as easy to ask.

I would appreciate any help or leads.

Thanks.

Gail
