Does anyone know if an 8283 would have been required for a tax deduction for a painting valued at $4,500 in 2002?  Some thought that at that time they weren't required for deductions under $5,000.

I have been looking but thought it might be just as easy to ask.

I would appreciate any help or leads.

Thanks.
