December 16th is the deadline for session and workshop proposals for MPMA's
2006 Annual Conference in Taos.
TAOS: A CONVERGENCE OF CULTURES -- PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
Taos, New Mexico: September 18 – September 22, 2006
Want to submit but concerned about the deadline? Have a great topic but no
panelists?? Not sure about your topic?? Respond to this email, and we will
help you.
Check MPMA’s website for suggestions on topics and guidelines for a
successful session / workshop. Businesses that will be sponsors of or exhibitors at
the conference may also submit session proposals.
Anyone may submit. If you have never done so, YOU SHOULD. Presenters get
their name out to the field and quickly become recognized for their expertise
and as leaders in the field. It is also a good way to engage in professional
development, becoming more involved with your regional museum association,
sharing knowledge and perspectives with fellow colleagues and sharing unique
experiences.
Look at the web site for topic suggestions –categories of topics and a
boatload of session topics are provided. The guidelines provide suggestions for
different session formats. Both of these are download-able forms along with the
proposal form.
