December 16th is the deadline for session and workshop proposals for MPMA's 2006 Annual Conference in Taos. TAOS: A CONVERGENCE OF CULTURES -- PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE Taos, New Mexico: September 18 – September 22, 2006 Want to submit but concerned about the deadline? Have a great topic but no panelists?? Not sure about your topic?? Respond to this email, and we will help you. Check MPMA’s website for suggestions on topics and guidelines for a successful session / workshop. Businesses that will be sponsors of or exhibitors at the conference may also submit session proposals. Anyone may submit. If you have never done so, YOU SHOULD. Presenters get their name out to the field and quickly become recognized for their expertise and as leaders in the field. It is also a good way to engage in professional development, becoming more involved with your regional museum association, sharing knowledge and perspectives with fellow colleagues and sharing unique experiences. Look at the web site for topic suggestions –categories of topics and a boatload of session topics are provided. The guidelines provide suggestions for different session formats.
