The Charlotte County Historical Center Society is in the process of deaccessioning a number of items not related to its mission. Many of these are cultural artifacts from the African continent, such as dolls, carvings, hunting tools, masks, drums, and other items. These artifacts will be donated to appropriate museums and collecting institutions, with preference given to those who have an established collections policy that follow AAM guidelines.A complete listing is not available at this time; however, interested museums and collecting institutions should contact the Charlotte County Historical Center Division Manger to be put on a notification list when more information becomes available: Lori Tomlinson, Division Manager
