Here is a list of history-related camps from several organizations across the country: http://www.thehistorylist.com/camps.

History organizations and historic sites are welcome to add their summer camps and programs for 2014. There is no cost. It takes just a few minutes and can be done by anyone--staff, interns, or volunteers.

Eight million kids participate in a summer camp each summer. Only a small fraction attend programs in our institutions. Our goal is to help raise awareness of these great programs.

Right now, we currently offer the following half day camps: three art camps, a dinosaur camp, farm camp, a history detectives camp, and a sort of living history/nature full day camp. Is there a unique or popular summer camp offering that your museum offers that you want to brag about? We are a mid-sized cultural history museum that falls under the umbrella of our local Forest Preserve agency, so we tend to stick to art and history but I’d love to hear from a variety of museums (and zoos and aquariums)!
