                                  Short's Acceptance in the Salmagundi
Club

Milwaukie, Oregon( July 10, l998) Chiaroscuro Painter Margret E. Short
is proud to announce her acceptance into New York's prestigious
Salmagundi Club. The Salamagundi Club has been the center for the
advancement of American Art for over a century.

Short a former instructor at Clackamas Community College is represented
by Vanier Fine Art, Scottsdale, AZ and the Sovereign and the Rental
Sales Gallery in Portland,OR.

Short  has exhibited in the C.M. Russell Auction, Great Falls, MT, the
Gulf Coast Invitational, Biloxi, MS, the Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa, OK and
will be working with the Art in the Embassies Program, Washington, D.C.

Her oil paintings have appeared on the covers of Saks Fifth Ave
Magazine, OPBS Focus Magazine and Northwest Magazine.

Short is a member of the Oil Painters of America, the American Society
of Classical Realism, and the Women Artists of the West.

Margret Short's paintings are in collections throughout the United
States, as well as London ,England, and Japan.
