X Ravens are classified within the Crow family <4 types>. They are hunted
X in all parts of the U.S. as "Varments", some states have no restrictions
X on hunting, some have period blocks of 3 months. The hunt permit is
X known as a varment permit which can include raccoons, opossom, squirrel,
X coyote etc. Thanks for the response.

Append: There seems to be a great deal of confusion regarding these
specimens even among local taxidermists. Ive heard everything from
ravens are considered a separate species from crow <whaa??when?> to
being informed that they are protected even tho they are pests not
migratory and still hunted in parts of the US. Oh well.
