I recently had occasion to try and assemble as comprehensive a list as
possible of potential policies and procedures for collection/visitor-based
institutions. Probably no one museum needs to have all of them, but perhaps
every museum could benefit by scanning the list to see if there are any
important items they might be missing. Also, some thoughts on who ought to
be identifying new policies that should be written and old ones that need
revision: hint - it's not the Board.
