  Subject: On demand sound etc

I am looking for information, technical papers, etc., on how to install buttons and devices for on-demand sounds, DVD players etc. Or anyone who would like to share what they are doing. As always, I am looking for cost-effective ways to do this, but technology that is reliable.

Some simple things I would like to do, is for the visitor to press a button to hear what a musical instrument sounds like in a case. Also, I would like to create a wall of light boxes with one speaker system, where the lightboxes would light up with the voice coming out of the speaker. This could be triggered by the visitor or motion sensor.

We turn on DVD's in the morning, but it would be nice if the visitor could do this with a button

Thanks so much for your help!
