And more re the virus.

                      E-Mail Virus Alert - "Melissa"

The "Melissa" virus was first detected on March 26, 1999. The "Melissa"
virus is a Microsoft Word macro virus delivered as an email attachment.
When the attachment, "list.doc", is opened the virus searches the Microsoft
Outlook address book and delivers the following message to the first 50
names:

Subject: Important Message From <infected user's name>
Body: Here is that document you asked for... don't show anyone else ;-)

The virus proliferates itself as users open the attachment.

Additional Information:

The "Melissa" virus will not do any harm to programs installed on any
machines infected with it. Individuals can avoid contracting or spreading
the virus simply by not opening the attachment that accompanies the e-mail.

The purpose of the virus is to interrupt networks by replicating itself so
rapidly that it overwhelms networks and e-mail servers.

Currently there is no evidence that the virus can open or use the address
books in Lotus Notes.
