Ann: can't you apply the UV film (colorless or with a very light tint)
directly on to the glass of the display case? I remember high school
cases for trophies, etc. being glass.

Subject: UV/Light Blocking Films for Exhibit Cases?

Hello, All - Yes, I know the UV film topic has been covered at length
several times, but I think I've got a new wrinkle here. We are working
on a grant-funded project in which a group of local high school students
are inventorying and cataloguing their school's collection of trophies,
yearbooks, photos and other documents and artifacts dating back to 1909.
One outcome of the project will be a series of exhibits designed by the
students and installed in cases around the school. These cases have
glass doors, and many of the areas have a lot of natural light streaming
in. Does any of you know of a film that we could put on these case doors
that would block a substantial amount of ultraviolet and visible light
yet still make it possible to see the objects inside? Unfortunately,
film or shades on the windows are not options here.

Many thanks,

Anne
