Merri...

Well I work at the Historical Museum of Southern Florida which is located in Miami, so I can tell you a little bit about Vizcaya, sorry I cannot help on the Ringling Brothers Museum. The environment in Miami is very tourist driven, meaning you are busy from the start of Nov to about the end of May and then things drop off a bit...meaning that any programming done in the summer is not as well attended as local Miamians rarely come out to visit cultural sites. Vizcaya is a beautiful home and grounds with a great story, I would say take a look at their website as you get a good sense of the museum from it. The first thing I would say about moving to Miami is that it is a city that takes a lot of getting used to if you are not a native. Hope this helps!

Emily

Subject: Question about two florida museums and their location.

I would like to know if anyone is very familiar with the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida and the Vizcaya Museum in Miami. Did you enjoy either one or both of these museums? Do they have good public education or internship programs? What do think of environment offered by Sarasota or Miami, Florida? Thank you.

Sincerely,
