JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
 
Research Aide, Anthropology Division, Peabody Museum of Natural
History, Yale University
 
Job description:  Help create a computerized database for the Peabody
Museum's Caribbean archaeological collections.  Input Caribbean
archaeogical collection data into Argus.  Proofread and correct
entered data from hard copies.  Coordinate and check work of support
staff and students.  Assist in preparing handwritten catalogues for
entry in database.  Perform additional tasks as required incidental
to the project.  Position requires knowledge of archaeological
terminology and techniques and two years experience in archaeological
excavation and cataloguing of collections and high school diploma;
college level course work in Anthropology or equivalent and ability
to learn and use Argus.  This position is of one year duration.
Salary comensurate with experience;  Minimum is $9.14 per hour.
