Hello everyone -

In the process of clearing storage spaces ahead of the construction
crews, I've found a cache of old lantern slides that we are happy to
donate to a museum willing to put them to good use.

We have almost 2000 slides that were used in the museum's lecture series
(from 1913 to probably the 1950s). There are black and white images,
color images, and hand-tinted ones. Some are drawings or maps. Many
were bought as sets from the Harvard Tozzer Library. Many of these
images represent very outdated information or stereotypes.

We hope to give them all to one lucky institution. I simply can't take
the time to bundle up a dozen here or there to send off to distant
museums. They are very heavy and of course fragile so pick-up would
probably be better than shipping. For this and other reasons,
preference is given to museums in Boston or New England.

If you are interested in the whole lot of them, please email or call,
details listed below. Thank you!
