Merry Christmas to you too, Kathryn. And, personally (althought
I think everybody does likewise), I do really wish to see that
African flavor to become true in the list !!.

I would just like to wish everybody happy holidays and to thank you for
some great discussions. It has been a real pleasure to have this contact
with museum professionals-the community in SA being rather small and
fairly non-existent in my field. I hope, though, that next year all those
lurking South Africans will make their voices heard-I know you are out
there. I know the activities in Europe, the US and Canada sometimes
seem way beyond what we are struggling with but we do deal with
many similar problems and I think that SA museums have something to
offer the debate-Excuse the blurb but we have only been able to be
patriotic since 1994 so tend to wallow in it a bit. Anyway more and more
museums here are finally getting connected so I hope the list will have a
more African flavour next year.

Kathryn
