Once you leave academia the boundaries between fine arts and art history 
blurr (thank goodness!). In my career, I have found some incredible arts 
administrators (great writers, great finance minds) who were also amazingly 
good artists. And, on the other hand, I know of a few art historians who make 
their living as artists!
