For Lehmann Maupin, our internationally celebrated New York City-based
gallery, we are seeking to fill the following two positions.

 

Bookkeeper & Staff Accountant

The successful candidate will assist the Director of Finance and the
Assistant Controller with all aspects of financial duties, including
managing QuickBooks, finance-related hard files and report schedules;
allocation of sales and invoice records; maintain general ledger and petty
cash; assist with all bank deposits, withdrawals and online banking issues;
Liaise with vendors; prepare invoices for sold works and update records
accordingly; assist with accounts receivables follow-up, prepare
reconciliations, reports and meeting support materials; maintain consignment
schedule and related forms, binders and deadlines; other duties as required.
The ideal applicant will have at least 3 years bookkeeping and accountancy
experience with an art gallery, auction house, art fair or arts business and
excellent communications, organizational and numerical skills. BA required.

Registrar

The successful candidate with work with and oversee an Associate Registrar
in completing all related duties, including condition reports, coordination
of national and international shipping; monitoring of consignment and loan
agreements; organization and oversight of on and off-site storage; manage
inventory and databases; assist with the shipping and production for
exhibitions at multiple New York City locations; schedule transport of works
for client viewings; liaise with gallery artists, staff, clients, vendors
and shipping agents; other duties as necessary. The ideal applicant will
have 3-5 years' experience in a registrarial capacity at a major art
gallery, shipping company or auction house and excellent multi-tasking,
organizational, database and communications skills. BA some experience with
budgets required.  Salary DOE to 60K with benefits and opportunity for
advancement. An excellent opportunity for a confident, punctual,
