You always hope you will never need this. We have worked with our shippers and an Atlas Van Lines agent. They will co-contract for a freezer unit to be set up on your property or theirs for security. We just used a letter of agreement as a contract. Good luck.

  Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Freezer Space Contracts?

  Please forgive cross-posting -
I am seeking examples of contracts entered into, as part of the disaster planning process, for freezer space for artifacts. I am contacting local food distributors to ask for the use of freezer space should we need it for water-damaged artifacts - Heaven forefend! - and would like to present a contract that makes me look as though I know what I'm doing. Do any of you have such agreements, and do they also involve freezer trucks for transport or temporary storage? Are you asking for donated space, or rental?
  Many thanks,

  Anne T. Lane
