Organization:              National Museum of Women in the Arts 

Position:                      Manager of Film Programs

Department:               Education

Supervisor:                 Curator of Education 

 

The Manager of Film Programs will work within the education department to oversee all aspects of the museum’s programming in film.  Programs will complement special exhibitions and will also be developed independently.  

 

Responsibilities include:

·        Initiate and implement all aspects of the Film Series;

·        Plan and implement programs in film and other disciplines to complement special exhibitions;

·        Oversee use of auditorium equipment;

·        Write funding proposals;

·        Evaluate programs;

·        Produce related education materials for website, etc.;

·        Take part in other projects of the Education Department, the Arts and Programs Division, and the Museum.

 

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required (master’s degree preferred) in film studies and a minimum of three years experience programming film.  Familiarity with work in a museum setting is ideal.  Excellent organizational and project management skills, proficiency in oral and written communications, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are required.
