Hello all,
I sell artifact labeling kits that have conquered the problems you've described. At the risk of sounding like an advertisement, I can describe the kits a little here and if anyone wants more information, please respond off list to [log in to unmask]
The kits come in various sizes, but the main components are the labeling liquids. All materials can be purchased individually as well. The barrier layer is Acryloid B-72 and for dark objects, there's white acrylic paint. Then the top coat is an acrylic gloss medium. All liquids come in nail polish type jars with brush caps. In addition there's labeling pens, needles, thread, etc. for labeling all collections types. Each kit comes with a "how-to" manual and MSD sheets.
I sell this product through my personal company, The LCL Company, but I'm also the director of a small museum in Indiana. I can send you a brochure if interested.
Hope this helps!
