Any leads? I'm curious about this too.
PLA *sounds *bad; what with being biodegradable and having "acid" in the
name and all.
My own anecdotal evidence with vintage Lego suggests that ABS is itself
relatively stable over decades, with no plasticizer migration and minimal
increase in brittleness noted. I have no evidence either way as to what it
might offgas, however.
