You may wish to contact Patty Silence, Conservator of Museum Exhibitions
and Historic Interiors at Colonial Williamsburg, for advice on current
cleaning procedures for historic houses and also on setting up such a
program. Colonial Williamsburg has had such a program for over 20 years and
it has been very effective in keeping the interiors in good order and also
in keeping another eye on them.

Hope this helps.
