Yes, it's true, cows can get hairballs. They are constantly licking themselves and their young...like cats.
 
Here is an exhibit that curated a few years ago at the Kansas State Historical Society on collecting. In addition to several private collections, we featured major collections that had been donated to KSHS over the years. In this show we also featured a hairball as well as a two-headed calf.
