Hello all,
We are looking for someone to fill the position of Director of Museum
Operations. If anyone in Museum-L lives in the San Francisco Bay area or is
willing to relocate there and has museum administrative experience, please
send me your resume and desired salary.  If you know of others who meet such
criteria, please pass this message onto them and have them send me their

Below is a brief job description of the position to be filled.

MUSEUM SEEKS DIRECTOR OF MUSEUM OPERATIONS….
(Rough Job Requirement)
 A non-profit public-benefit art museum located on Market Street in downtown
San Francisco seeks applicants for the position of Director of Museum
Operations. The successful applicant will have much experience in museum
management. Under the guidance of the President of the museum, this Director
will be responsible for all aspects of routine operations of the museum. The
duties of this position include but are not limited to the following:
• Carry out the plans and policies established by the Board of Directors.
• Establish and manage an internal work system.
• Establish, manage, and implement a security system for the entire museum.
• Manage human resources; oversee and manage staff and volunteers, including
the arrangement of work schedules; conduct an annual assessment of the
performance of all museum workers.
• Be responsible for prudent fiscal management and for opening fundraising
channels.
• Publicize the museum and be an important conduit of the museum in its
communications with outside entities, including government entities, other
museums, and entities that can help increase visitors to the museum, such as
travel agencies, schools, and community organizations.
• Carry out other work as instructed by the Board of Directors and the
President of the museum.
