                      1995 HAGLEY FELLOWS' CONFERENCE
 
The Hagley Fellows of the University of Delaware will host a conference
on March 24, 1995 entitled "A Variety of Tasks: Women, Men, and Work in
Early Nineteenth Century America."  The keynote speaker will be Laurel
Thatcher Ulrich, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of _A Midwife's Tale_ and
_Good Wives_.
 
Scholars examining issues related to work and workers in early
nineteenth century America are encouraged to submit paper proposals.
Please send a brief (one or two pages) abstract to:
