Alutiiq Museum Digs Volunteers!
The Alutiiq Museum’s community Archaeology Project will take place
July 10 –August 4
at the Array Site, a prehistoric fishing settlement on the banks of
the Buskin River.
Join us to try your hand at Archaeology!
Volunteer Orientation: Thursday, June 22 at 5:30 pm
at the Alutiiq Museum.
This orientation includes:
* Slide show- the How, what, & why of Kodiak Archaeology
* Bear Safety Lecture by Larry Van Daele of ADFG
* Sign up for the days you want to dig
* Refreshments!
Please attend this orientation if you want to dig with us this summer.
Field Work: July 10 - August 4
Lab Work at the Museum: Starts August 7
