Hi!
I am looking for information about Tour Guide Programs at other museums. I
currently work as a Tour Manager and am in the process of re-evaluating our
program. I work with approximately 25 paid tour guides who all fall under
the name of Museum Teacher. They lead tours for both adult and student
groups and what they are paid depends on the type of group and the day.

I have found that most of the museums I have contacted also have a group of
tour guides, but that most come under the name of docent and are unpaid
volunteers.

Does anyone work at a museum with a similar situation to mine? If so, I'd
love to hear specifics about how your program works:
What you call the guides, if not docent?
What is the payment policy? Does it depend on the type of group and/or day
and time of visit?

I am also looking for the prices groups pay to come to the museums for
guided tours as opposed to a self-guided tour.

Thanks to anyone that can hel
