Hello,
Somebody had noticed:

An interesting point. Genesis of the heritage category of intangible
cultural heritage has ties to the public unrest and sacking Buddhist
temples with demise of shogun (patron of Buddhist temples) and creating the
refurbished Emperor as a part of the modernity quest, all wrapped in
tradition (and state Shinto). His arts&crafts masters were predecessors of
ICH masters. Modernity (industry, big navy ships, parliament, syndicates,
women workers, you name it) was symbolically reached through toppled
monuments as well. Along with some fresh views upon heritage.
Yours sincerely,
