VOLUNTEERS & TOURS COORDINATOR

 
The Petersen Automotive Museum currently seeks an enthusiastic team
player to become an integral part of the Education Department as the
Volunteers & Tours Coordinator. 
 
The Volunteers & Tours Coordinator will be responsible for the
following: recruit, train and oversee Museum volunteers, as the primary
liaison between the Museum staff and volunteers; maintain the policies
and procedures of the volunteer program; schedule school, group and
summer tours; oversee educational programs for schools and teachers, as
well as various tour groups; assist in the development of visitor
learning materials, projects, and publications; involved in various
aspects of the Museum as they pertain to helping carry out the Museum's
educational mission.
 
Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Education, Museum
Studies, or related field; 1-2 years in a museum or informal educational
setting; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to
details, computer literate. $13.00 hourly
