Dear Colleague,

Resource has commissioned Glasgow-based M Squared Consulting to identify and
describe initiatives that communicate the roles that collection care and
management play in the long-term preservation of the portable cultural
heritage.

The study will identify twenty varied examples of good practice in schemes
intended to promote stewardship. These exemplars will be drawn from around
the English speaking world and will be divided equally between the museum,
archive and library domains. Emphasis will be placed on locating a
selection of schemes that exhibit a diversity of scale, duration,
communication media and audience.

We hope that this study will provide industry professionals with ideas that
have the potential to raise the effectiveness of future promotional
initiatives.

If you know of any strong examples of schemes to promote stewardship of
collections, our team would be pleased to hear from you by email at

With best wishes,
