I signed our department up for this discussion list last week and, while I
enjoy the discourse, both personal and professional, I wonder how everyone
has so much time to converse on such a regular basis.  Sometimes I can not
even scramble over to the computer to check email once a day, let alone
every few hours. I am curious, do most of you have terminals at your desk,
email at your fingertips, when did your institutions "get on the
Internet"....

since this is my last day of work here before I move to San Francisco, I
wonder if those of you who are so active on the discussion list could
respond before the end of the day.....
