REGISTER SOON FOR CAM'S STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKSHOP
The next workshop in the California Association of Museum's (CAM) 2005
Regional Workshop Series is Everything You Ever Wanted Know About
Strategic Planning and More. The purpose of this workshop is to
familiarize participants with the strategic planning process and its
implications for decision-making. A case study will be distributed in
advance that will provide background information about a hypothetical
museum ("The Sleep Center for Art & History"), its community, and
critical issues impacting the museum. During the workshop, participants
will be identified as "Board" or "Staff" and will experience the process
of designing the framework for a strategic plan using the case study
museum. By the end of the workshop, participants will have developed a
vision, mission, core values, and goals for the case study museum as
well as understand how to write objectives and action plans. The
workshop presenters are Adrienne Horn, President, and Stephen Horn,
Senior Vice President, Museum Management Consultants, Inc.

Tuesday, June 7, 2005 / 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM / Crocker Art Museum,
Sacramento
Thursday, June 23, 2005 / 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM / San Bernardino County
Museum, San Bernardino
The registration fee for this workshop is $50 for CAM members and $75
for nonmembers. You can register online at CAM WORKSHOPS

includes workshop participation, additional materials, and a boxed
lunch. The workshop series is supported in part by Wells Fargo and the
museums hosting the workshops. Complete descriptions of other upcoming
