Museum Programs Assistant

 

The National Law Enforcement Museum, a program of the National Law
Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (www.nleomf.org), is presently under
construction with opening in late 2009 or early 2010. We are looking for a
program assistant to aid the staff (4-5 people) in their day-to-day
operations including, but not limited to, departmental scheduling;
correspondence; donor management; basic research; collection accessioning,
processing, and cataloging; and other administrative duties.  

Qualifications: A minimum of a BA in history, American studies, or similar
course of study is required with some museum experience. The position
requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, competent speaking and
writing skills, and the ability to follow directions.

Preferred: Masters in Museum Studies, History, American Studies, or similar
program or comparable experience.

Position is contingent upon FY 2007 funds and if funded, will begin after
January 1, 2007. Salary is competitive with generous benefits package. The
