Joyce,

In any choice of database, make sure that you inquire about exporting
data. Most software packages and customized database systems make it
very easy to import information in but nearly impossible to transfer
it to another system. Despite what any company will tell you, software
will eventually become outdated, and you'll need to upgrade your
database management system. I suggest looking at the collections
management software reviews through CHIN.

Hope this helps!
