I agree with the HOBO loggers (Made by Onset, not Hanwell). I don't consider $80 expensive for the U-10 T/RH model, but that's a personal opinion. You will also need the HoboPro software at $99. But for 6 rooms, you can have a real datalogging system for $600 complete. This is assuming you have a laptop to use for launching/downloading. If not, buy their shuttle for $250 or so.
I have specific suggestions on launching/downloading that I would be happy to email directly to you if you are interested. Good luck.

Subject: Re: [MUSEUM-L] Need Advice on Thermohygrometers and Hygrothermographs
I recommend the Hanwell Hobo systems, they are more flexible and save the data digitally. The first one you posted doesn't look like it records anything. Hanwells can start off a bit pricey (though less than the price of a hydrothermagraph) and can be upgraded later. I like the U series loggers.

Dear List,
I am in need of a climate monitoring system that will cover curation, lab, library, archives, and exhibit spaces. Minimally, I have six rooms to monitor. I am requesting advice on thermohygrometers and hygrothermographs. I have a limited budget and I am weighing options between the following systems at www.gaylord.com.
1) Item # WW-52045 & WW-52046 - a thermohygrometer with remote sensors (see link) - http://www.gaylordmart.com/adblock.asp?abid=14558&sid=37D77C65A7FB41F78DA863C43BDC4C
2) Item # WW-A1731 - Hygrothermograph, Standard Model, Maxant (see link) -
http://www.gaylordmart.com/adblock.asp?abid=2151&sid=37D77C65A7FB41F78DA863C43BDC4C
Can anyone recommend any other systems or suppliers?
Sincerely,
