The Scientific-American/Sumeria collaboration is quite beautiful, and
intelligently done.
 
This can not be said for avalanche of CD-ROM products currently available.  I
live and work in this industry (I'm an Instructional Designer), and most
developers are only interested in marketing for Xmas.  There's a lot of junk
out there.
 
For those interested in the process of artistic expression, I can recommend
 the very high quality of 'American Dreams' produced by Eden Interactive, in
