The Mifflinburg Buggy Museum is deaccessioning a number of harness pieces and horse collars - these are single horse and team harnesses. We do not have complete sets, but enough pieces to make one set for display purposes. They are not useable with a horse and buggy. They date from 1900 to 1960. We do not know makers or users, they were simply "given" to the museum after its creation in 1978. We have about 20 to 30 pieces and 8 collars. We have bridles, some with blinds, gig saddles with bolt hook, hames, some with traces, etc. You can take one piece, five pieces or all of it. All are being offered free to any museum - you must either come and get the items or cover the cost of shipping. Anyone interested can request photos. We are trying to find homes for these items by the end of September. Please contact me off list.
