Dear Helpful Folk,

We have several buildings on our grounds (historic and non) in a "village" format. We are in the process of moving a small church to our grounds and the project is being funded primarily by an individual. One of our Board members would like to establish part of the donation for future repairs and upkeep. I know there are formulas out there for calculating the percentage of funds or specific amount needed for a long term endowment but I do not know how to find them. Has anyone out there done this? In the far distant past when the other building were moved in no funds were established and, oh, how we now wish they had.

Sincerely,
Betsy Crawford-Gore, Curator
