TAOS: A CONVERGENCE OF CULTURES -- PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
In Taos, New Mexico
September 18 – September 22, 2006
 
We welcome your ideas.  If you need help putting the final touches on a 
proposal, our program committee will help you develop your idea. If you've never 
submitted a session proposal, this is good time to do it.  Our committee will 
assist you with recommendations on title, concept and panel presenters.

Mountain-Plains Museums Association (MPMA) 
 
The program committee is looking for session proposals that address a broad 
range of issues that affect museums.  It is also looking for sessions that 
relate to the 2006 conference theme - Convergence of Cultures - which has been 
chosen to encourage proposals on topics that cover culture, material culture, 
objects and diversity. There is no better place to discuss these topics than 
Northern New Mexico with its rich cultural heritage that includes Hispanic, Anglo 
and Native American traditions.
 
The experience you will gain from this conference along with the interaction 
with your peers will help your professional goals. You will also become better 
known in the MPMA museum community.  Moreover, you will learn about the 
culture of northern New Mexico which is alive with a diversity unmatched by few 
other places.  Experience a great conference and come away enriched by your 
colleagues and the beauty, heritage and awe inspiring images that have made Taos 
famous around the world

MPMA's Annual Conference in 2006 is in Taos, New Mexico, September 18-22nd.  
Join us as we explore together "A Convergence of Cultures" and learn about the 
wonders of 
northern New Mexico's material culture.
