The program committee is looking for session proposals that address a broad
range of issues that affect museums. It is also looking for sessions that
relate to the 2006 conference theme - Convergence of Cultures - which has been
chosen to encourage proposals on topics that cover culture, material culture,
objects and diversity. There is no better place to discuss these topics than
Northern New Mexico with its rich cultural heritage that includes Hispanic, Anglo
and Native American traditions.
The experience you will gain from this conference along with the interaction
with your peers will help your professional goals. You will also become better
known in the MPMA museum community. Moreover, you will learn about the
culture of northern New Mexico which is alive with a diversity unmatched by few
other places. Experience a great conference and come away enriched by your
colleagues and the beauty, heritage and awe inspiring images that have made Taos
famous around the world
