Oh, and the TV show Friends in which Ross plays a museum curator. The
show about blue coats and white coats in the lunch room is just too
funny.

The film Black Widow (1987) was filmed in part at the Burke Museum of
Natural History in Seattle. The wealthy and charming "widow" (Theresa
Russell) and investigator (played by Debra Winger) have several scenes
in various museum offices and a collections storage room (at least the
set designer's conception of a storage room, since they were not allowed
to film in the real one).

I just thought of another... although not an entire movie, the scenes
involving the museum curator in Waiting for Guffman are pretty funny.
