Dear Colleagues,

On Friday, June 18th, we hosted the first session of the Solution Provider
segment in our Dreaming of a New Collections Management System webinar
series. This month’s conversation brought a fascinating discussion on the
use of cooperative or consortia-based software-as-a-service with the open
source collections management system CollectiveAccess.

Our panelists Karin Kierstead, Diane Lee, and Seth Kaufman shared with us
how many cultural institutions may address the challenges of cost and
technology support by working together. If you missed the live
conversation, you may find a recording of it here:

In our next session on July 20th, we will be welcoming ArtworkArchive to
our series to talk about how they work with cultural institutions to
develop better workflows and sustainable collections-related practices;
capturing the context of objects, addressing the different needs of
multiple departments within a single organization; and promoting internal
and external discoverability across collections. More details on
registration are coming soon.
