***Conference Wrap Up***
ARCS was excited to welcome over 680+ attendees to the biennial conference
Momentum held in Montreal Canada, November 7-10, 2023. With a mixture of
off-site tours, an emergency workshop, welcome reception, trivia, and over
30 educational sessions, the event was a welcome return to our on site
conference programming.

Recordings and handouts will be made available to all attendees AND all
active ARCS members by mid December, so keep an eye out for announcements.

***Mentoring Program - Now Accepting Applications***
Applications are now being accepted for both mentees and mentors for the
January 2024 pairing of the Collection Stewardship Mentorship Program! This
free program pairs mentees and volunteer mentors for 6 months to ask
questions and share experiences at their own pace.

Applications are due by Friday, December 16, 2023. More information and
application can be found here:
https://www.arcsinfo.org/membership/mentoring%20program.

***Volunteer and become a member of an ARCS Committee!***
Are you looking to get involved, expand your professional network, and help
ARCS put on incredible programs, conferences, or help with other
initiatives that benefit our members? Here are the current open volunteer
positions with ARCS:

-Awards (Seeking - 2 Members) Committee members administer the ARCS Award
stipend program. This includes awards for registrations at ARCS programs,
travel stipends for in person conferences and workshops, and internship
stipends (awarded 2-3 times per year). The committee researches and
explores other opportunities to grow and develop the program and develop
opportunities to provide resources to the members, i.e. fellowships to ARC
and professional recognition awards.
-Fundraising Committee (Seeking - 2 Members) The Fundraising Subcommittee
works closely with the ARCS Board of Directors and all of the various ARCS
committees and subcommittees to identify, cultivate, and manage external
funding partners. The Fundraising Committee’s goal is to nurture and expand
awareness for ARCS initiatives, and to help raise funding to host them. The
committee also works closely with other committees to plan specific
fundraising events and activities, such as the annual ARCS conferences and
ARCS webinars and workshops.
-Partnerships: (Seeking - 2 members) The Partnerships Committee seeks out
and creates ongoing partnerships with outside organizations in order to
meet the needs of members and fulfill the mission of ARCS. Committee
members will advise on partnerships to create, tend to existing
partnerships, and create MOUs for new partnerships.
